September 28, 2026 — Today would be the day with no views due to fog and clouds—or so I thought. I'm not the type of guy who enjoys hiking just for the sake of hiking; the adventure is important, but the visual payoff is just as critical to me. I didn't want to just sit around and mope about being socked in, so I opted for an easier, lower-elevation hike in the hopes of finding some openings in the fog. While I did not, in fact, get any wide-open expansive vistas today, I had a hunch the fire tower would at least offer a bird's-eye view of the fall colors directly surrounding the structure. I was right! Looking back on the photos I took, I am more than pleased with the unique perspective I got from the top. The hike itself is very straightforward and easy. In the final few minutes before you approach the tower, there are a few sets of stairs and ladders to assist with overcoming the final terrain.
